Day Four, Yacht Tour Kos – Leros

We set off unhurriedly, around 11 a.m. Now we can truly enjoy the return journey, sailing calmly against a headwind — which, fortunately, is almost nonexistent.

Among the interesting sights along the way was the sunrise (or sunset) of a black sun. In reality, it’s a semicircular hill — an island rising from the sea. But seen from the shadowed side, it looks mesmerizing.

And then there was another mountain — as if bitten by two huge teeth. Who could have done that, I wonder?

Closer to evening, after a relaxed sea passage, we enter the eastern part of the island of Leros. We are careful not to pass between a speedboat and a water skier. In any case, we are already choosing a place for anchorage, so we move slowly, constantly checking the depth under the keel.

The anchorage is excellent, but there isn’t much space — competing yachts, as usual, arrived earlier. We anchor closer to the shore.

The wind is unstable, and once again — for the second time — I volunteer to stand anchor watch. The second anchor watch in five days. Well, what can you do — it wouldn’t be right to ask a guest.

But what a dinner Norman prepared! He truly has great culinary talent. The sun finally sinks below the horizon. There’s neither strength nor desire left to go ashore by dinghy.

All around us, Italians cruise between the yachts on their motorboats. How noisy and talkative they are…

And so, at anchor, the fourth day of our tour through the Greek islands came to an end.
